My question about bioidentical progesterone cream is...

by Tami
(New Jersey)

I am 52 and did not have period for over a year. I did a saliva test which showed estrogen dominance. I started using a bioidentical progesterone cream and got my period after about three weeks. This makes sense to me but should I expect this every month? It is ok because I have no hot flashes and am sleeping better but I wasn't really expecting to start getting my period again.

Response to Bioidentical Progesterone Question

Hi Tami,

This is a question best answered by your doctor. I do not believe you should be having a period every month if you have already reached menopause.
