How to take charge when you feel out of control
July 16, 2015
July 16, 2015

I can’t believe it’s the middle of July already! Summer is half over and I’ve been too busy to enjoy it much.

I wanted to share an exercise with you that I started using recently, for those times when you feel like things are out of control in an area of your life. This can be a common feeling while going through the menopausal transition because, well, with all those shifting hormones, you may feel like your body IS out of control.

Here’s the exercise (from T Harv Eker’s Secrets of the Millionaire Mind):

At the end of the day, write down something that went well that day (pick an area of your life that you feel out of control in).

Then write down what you did to help make that happen.

Next, write down something that didn’t go well. Then write down what you did (or didn’t do) to make that happen.

Doing this exercise can really make a difference in your feeling more at cause and less out of control in your life. Even if your hormones are shifting like crazy, you CAN do something to feel better, whether it’s exercise or meditation or something else.

AND, you can do something to feel worse (eating junk food, overcommitting yourself, or not getting enough sleep, for example).

I encourage you to try it out and see how you feel after doing this for a few days.
